How To Lose Weight & Keep It Off.
One of the great things in life is to be healthy, full of energy, and fit.
Many of us are unbalance in our lives and have little time to exercise and do the things that help us to stay lean and strong.
However, there is no way around it if we want to be at a good weight and maintain it. Then we must take certain steps to ensure that we will achieve a healthy weight and stay that way.
These steps include: (1) Eating healthy foods that promote a fit body. These include: lean meats, seafood, fruit, vegetables, complex carbohydrates like sweet potatoes, beans, and whole grains if you tolerate them. It is essential that we limit the intake of alcoholic beverages, sugar, fat, and caffeinated beverages.
(2) Getting sufficient exercise to help the body function better, sweat, and burn calories and fat. This means that we want to participate in aerobic activities like: jogging, brisk walking, swimming, tennis, hiking, etc. These will help the body to work more efficiently and keep a more slender presence.
(3) Maintain healthy adrenal glands so that they will not over produce cortisol which your body will frequently begin to store as fat. This is one of the common reasons that people who are exercising and eating healthy are still not losing weight. This is a little more complicated fix because the hormonal system which is very sensitive is involved. However, you first want to remove the typical stressors to the adrenal glands which are: sugars, alcohol, caffeine, unnecessary stress, and avoiding your food allergies or sensitivities. Obviously, avoiding stress and your food sensitivities are more complex but they are typically necessary when the adrenals are over producing cortisol.
The other piece of strengthening adrenal glands also involves an effective supplement plan to help improve their function.
(4) The thyroid gland. Many times this also needs to be addressed. The great thing is that when you work on the adrenal gland you typically help take a lot of stress off of the thyroid as well. I like to use the sea vegetable kelp to help supply the thyroid with minerals and especially iodine.
These are the key steps that are needed to help achieve and maintain an ideal weight. Be sure before starting any exercise program that you consult with a physician.
